It was very early this morning the Lord woke me up with this scripture found in Isaiah 26
Isaiah 26:3 King James Version
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he
trusteth in thee.
During the rest of the morning I mediated on this scripture and really began to
understand the tremendous battlefield that is our minds. I also thought about
peace……We are living in a time that there are pockets of conflict, war and terrorism all
over the world.
In a google search this morning the following results came up when asking the question;
How many conflicts are currently underway in the world.
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC): Tracks over 130 active armed
conflicts worldwide.
The Geneva Academy (RULAC): Monitors over 110 global armed conflicts under
international humanitarian law.
Council on Foreign Relations (Global Conflict Tracker): Lists 27 major ongoing
conflicts.
PRIO (Peace Research Institute Oslo): Recorded 61 state-based armed conflicts
across 36 countries.
We are entering a time of the year when we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We will sing the songs of Christmas:
Silent night, holy night, all is calm all is bright.
Peace on the earth goodwill toward men, let heaven and angels sing.
Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me….
And one of my favorite poems turned song: I heard the bells on Christmas day
I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play
And mild and sweet their songs repeat
Of peace on Earth, good will to men

Isaiah 9:6 King James Version
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon
his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The
everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Luke 2:10-14 King James Version
10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great
joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,
lying in a manger.
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God,
and saying,
14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
But my friends there is not peace on earth at this time, but my peace does not
depend on the world’s peace:
***The first point of the message today: Jesus can keep you in perfect peace even
when the world around you is in a storm.
As our key verse for today tells us:
Isaiah 26:3 King James Version
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he
trusteth in thee.
***There is no better example of the Peace of Jesus in our lives in the middle of
the storm than Jesus and his disciples on the boat in the middle of the storm in
the Sea of Galilee

Matthew 8:23-27 King James Version
23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was
covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and
rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and
the sea obey him!
***The first point of the message today: Jesus can keep you in perfect peace even
when the world around you is in a storm.
*** The 2 nd point of the message today: The peace of God in your life grows from
your faith and trust in Jesus.
Look at the last part of the key verse again: Isaiah 26:3 King James Version
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he
trusteth in thee.
***Lets see this played out again in another boat ride with the disciples and
Jesus. In this passage of scripture Jesus is not yet in the boat when the trouble
arises:
Matthew 14:22-33 King James Version
22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before
him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.
23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray:
and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was
contrary.
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a
spirit; and they cried out for fear.
27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the
water.
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the
water, to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried,
saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O
thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art
the Son of God.
***The first point of the message today: Jesus can keep you in perfect peace even
when the world around you is in a storm.
*** The 2 nd point of the message today: The peace of God in your life grows from
your faith and trust in Jesus.
*** The 3 rd point of the message: Our faith and trust in Jesus is sustained when we
keep our focus on him.
Look at the middle part of our key verse:
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee.

***Can I ask you a question this morning? Where is the focus of your mind today?
What are you placing in the gaze of your minds eye today.
Many of you may have heard of a human having a “3 rd “ eye. Some eastern false
religions speak of this but let me just say that I grew up with a mother and
grandmother’s that had like 20 eyes. They were more powerful in vision than
santa claus. They now when you are sleeping, they know when you are
awake…They know when you have been bad or good…..so be good for goodness
sake.
But what we are talking about this morning is not your mother’s supernatural
vision or any kind of eastern false religious description of 3 rd eye. We are talking
about the gaze and focus of your heart and mind.
Genesis 13:8-13 King James Version
8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and
between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt
take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will
go to the left.
10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered
every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of
the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they
separated themselves the one from the other.
12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and
pitched his tent toward Sodom.
13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
***It is only a few verse later that we find Lot living in Sodom when God sends his
angels to rescue him before raining fire and brimstone down and destroying the
City.

***This verse shows the longsuffering and mercy of God towards us:
Genesis 19:16 King James Version
16 And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife,
and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they
brought him forth, and set him without the city.
***The 4 th point of the message: What you allow your eyes to see will become the
focus of your mind and the obsession of your heart.
Genesis 6:5: "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and
that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."
Romans 1:21: "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God,
neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart
was darkened."
***I want to go back to point #2 and #3 and listen to the words of Jesus speaking
the word “Peace” appears around 23 times in the Gospels
Out of the 23 times Jesus spoke of peace there is a very interesting passage in
Matthew Chapter 10 that I want to speak about for a few minutes this morning.
***Remember our key verse of the day found in Isaiah 26:3 King James Version
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he
trusteth in thee.
***As we read this passage of scripture from Matthew 10, I want you to focus on
where the peace is in a person’s life and what is the individual’s state of mind….

Matthew 10:28-39 King James Version
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear
him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground
without your Father.
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my
Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which
is in heaven.
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a
sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against
her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth
son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

***The 4 th point of the message: What you allow your eyes to see will become the

*** In closing I want to equip you with the spiritual tools you need to keep your
focus on Christ which is the key to living a life of peace:
2 Corinthians 10:1-5 King James Version
1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in
presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence,
wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according
to the flesh.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling
down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the
knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Proverbs 3:5-6 King James Version
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Philippians 4:4-8 King James Version
God will keep you in perfect peace October 18, 2026
4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and
minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest,
whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely,
whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
As a matter of fact God’s word warns us about a time of peace that is to come.
1 Thessalonians 5 King James Version
5 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon
them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor
of darkness.
1 John 1:5 King James Version
God will keep you in perfect peace October 18, 2026
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God
is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
John 14:25-27 King James Version
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he
shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have
said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto
you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
*** Our key verse today:
Isaiah 26:3 King James Version
